I am not sure what is happening. Perhaps aliens have invaded and taken over the life forms of my entire family. For the past few days we have been communicating via e-mail. The subject is the upcoming birthday celebration of our parents. Usually there are accusations of one party being left out or another party not participating yet trying to take credit. This time we have cooperation. Unbelievable!
This has to be the first time on record that as a group we are lobbing suggestions and not a single participant is putting the kibosh on any of it. Could my parents’ wishes and dreams have come true? Is it possible that their three adult children and their 2 son-in-laws can coexist in harmony?
Stranger things have happened.

Here is an explanation:
Jupiter aligns with Mars, film at 11
Only until your parent health sats to fail and then all bets are off
Then peace will guide the planets
And love will steer the stars
It hasn't happened yet...I'd knock on some wood if I were you!!! LOL
Maybe you are all drunk?
Write your folks a check and leave it alone
Phillip and Anon: You totally got my Age of Aquarius reference. Bravo.
Dave: My folks will be celebrating their 81st birthday. So far, they are pretty healthy for their age. (knock on wood)
HFS: I knock constantly...
Beth: Not yet, but I will take you up on the suggestion
Tommy: They have everything. We decided on a professional family photo. It ought to be interesting.
Love the Age of Aquarius reference, but now I won't be able to get that song out of my head all day - thank you. :)
Okay here's what happened the first and ONLY time that my sisters and I agreed on a gift for the folks. We too decided a pro-photo would be the way to go. We all agreed on a time and place and met there. That's when hell broke loose.
We all wore the EXACT same style blouse. It was the late 70s so I'll leave the style to your imagination. The only thing that differed was the color.
Can you guess how long it took for us to agree on a backdrop color?
"I don't look good in front of blue" "Well too bad because brown washes me out" "Me too, let's go with black" "NOOO... my SHIRT is black!" "Who told you to wear black?" "Who told you to wear so much blush?" "Red, red would be nice" "For who? Santa?"
We ended up with dark blue and my parents loved the fact that we all got together on something even more than the photo itself.
Good luck to you!
