Scantily Clad Menopausal Beauties

Okay Interwebs, a little help please. I don’t usually pay attention to commercials but this one is bugging me.

The product is Evista and it’s geared toward menopausal women. So far so good. The commercial tells the viewer of any possible side effects etcetera. It tells women to contact their physician and ask about the product. Got it.

Riddle me this, why are all the women in the commercial just wrapped up in a sheet? Must the menopausal mama be half naked for this drug to work?

I am obviously missing the marketing strategy.

Anyone?

I gave up on commercials a long time ago. When I couldn't tell if they were pimping a car, stock funds or erectile dysfunction products, I just stopped paying attention.

I think they may be suggesting that if you take this wunderpill, you too can run around nakey in a sheet. Without this magic elixir, that's beyond your reach.

you know, it's funny you should say this. my friend said the exact same thing to me...

i guess because it has something to do with breast cancer, they wanted to do something to make you think about breasts...?

After Kotex came out with their whole "Have a Nice Period" campaign, I started muting commercials. As a result, I am of no help in your quest.

P.S. To embed YouTube files, look to the right of the video. There's a box that says "Embed" with the code for the video. Copy that code and then copy it into your blog post in the Edit HTML function. And if that didn't make any sense, just ignore me.

It's for the menopausal papas.

Tewkesy: I don't blame you but thanks for the embed lesson. If I find the commercial I will follow your instructions.

Len: A ha.....got it!

I have never noticed it, or I have never seen it. Whichever, it has never registered.

this commercial is to seduce the guys to get their menopausal chicks into this thing...because, well, you know...then they will lie about nekkid under the sheets more often...

I wonder how many Google search hits you'll get on your blog for "scantily clad menopausal beauties" -- that will give you a better sense of the size of the market.
