License to Breed

While driving to work today, I heard a very disturbing news story. A woman in Maryland was charged with reckless endangerment of 3 children. She was caught driving her car with 3 children in the TRUNK!!!!

An off duty State Trooper witnessed the children exiting the trunk of her vehicle when she parked in a local grocery store. The Trooper hung around and when the woman returned to her vehicle the 3 children got back into the trunk of the car. The moment she attempted to back out of the parking space he confronted her.

It is of note that this woman drives a school bus for a living. When asked why she allowed the children - ages 3, 9 and an 8 year old neighbor’s child – to ride in the trunk? She responded because they wanted to.

We need licenses to operate a vehicle and to get married. I seriously think we may need licenses to breed.

I can honestly say...people never cease to amaze me with the vastness of their idiosy.

License to breed. Couldn't agree more. Some people should just never be parents.

So, she could use the same excuse if they were playing with matches and setting the cat on fire? "Because they wanted to?" (shaking head)

That is just purely amazing.

I agree with all of you.

Be afraid, VERY afraid.

Oh. Wait. So you're saying that I shouldn't let HFS Jr ride in the trunk anymore?

Hmmm. That sucks.

That is why I talked you into the whole sub-woofer thing. Otherwise I would have had to hurt your feelings....

Thankfully no room for HFS, Jr and the woofer.

Sheesh

Only yesterday I drove down the street to my girls' school watching a cute little boy leaning out the window of his dad's car. Not just sticking his head out the window, but leaning out to his waist!

HE was not wearing a seatbelt, nor was his brother or their jackass BMW driving father!
(Come to think of it, the lady who got arrested--in Virginia, BTW--was driving a BMW too. Maybe those cars breed stupidity or something...)

I will not drive ANYWHERE unless my girls are wearing their belts. Period.

Too bad we can't prescreen people for biological parenthood the way we do for adoption, isn't it?

LL: Was it VA? Thanks for the correction.

I am in total agreement regarding the pre-screening. It's a sad state of affairs.......

Just amazing what people will do these days. You cannot say "What are they thinking of", as it is obvious that they are not thinking at all!
