Note to Self

If I make the calculated error of attending next year’s Easter Brunch at my Parent’s neighborhood Country Club, remember to keep comments regarding the mangy Easter bunny costume to a low whisper.

Apparently, the Country Club President was in ear shot.

In my defense, the Bunny did look like he was suffering from the Mange. I suggest the Prez invest in a new bunny costume next year. My niece walked away with a clump of fur along with every other child who participated in the obligatory photo op.

People, I cannot make this stuff up.

This comes under the heading of calling them like you see them. Well done!

Working at a country club - It was probably good for the President to hear you say that. It has been my experience that money will not get spent unless someone complains!

It's always sad when a bunny gets the mange. Especially if they have to put him down during the brunch. Because invariably he's the only one who knows where all the eggs are.

Reason #4,009 why I adore you. This was spectacular.

CEO: I really doubt I will be asked back. Their loss!

Crazy: I agree but you did not see the stink eye I got from the Prez...scary!

t2ed: If they did put him down, they waited till the event was over. If you ask the Prez, he may have wanted to put me down - HA!

Kris: Awww, shucks.

I'm fascinated by the apparent popularity of Easter bunny costumes in the USA. Easter bunnies seem to be really big over there, to judge from all the blog posts I've read about them.

You'd think the Easter Bunny would have thicker skin. But not if kids keep ripping it off I guess....

oh my gosh! you should have snuck up behind the mangey bunny, grabbed him by the bum & pulled a clump of fur right off...right in the middle of the room while holding your mimosa & yelling 'bottoms up'!

that would fix 'em...
