Perhaps It’s Just Me

I am sitting here trying to enjoy American Idol now that I am allegedly viewing the most talented bunch in the history of the show.

Eh, not so much. I am not feeling it. At. All.

May I have the envelope please? AI has officially jumped the shark as far as I am concerned.

Thoughts, concerns? Does anyone really know what time it is? Does anyone really care?

Yawn.

I don't watch the show. It's a perfect time to come over for a visit and some laughs.

I haven't watched more than 2 minutes of it this year.

Totally bored with it.

Come to think of it, I haven't watched the last 3 seasons.

It's not just you. I've been bored silly with most of the performances, with perhaps one exception (David Archuletta). I've actually been posting recaps on my blog, and most of them sound like this: "EH". ;-)

I never watched AI until season 6. By comparison, this year doesn't seem as interesting.

Are the song choices being made by chimps picking a piece of paper out of a hat? Sure seems like it.

I went to Madame Tussauds Wax Museum here in New York a few months back.
They have karaoke in the cafe that looks like the American Idil stage.
Sitting on the side is a wax replica of Simon that makes comments when people are done singing.
Ive only watched bits and pieces of the show myself, but some of my friends are very into it.

Yup, I am definitely removing it from the DVR list. Major suckage...

We lost track of it at the beginning of the season, and we have 3 or 4 unwatched episodes on the DVR. It actually feels kinda okay not to know what is happening.

I thought it was just me, but they all sound like rather sleazy lounge singers this year. I think you are right about the show jumping the shark.

Please read my latest blog post about the efforts district administrators are making to censor my comments on education and teaching and comment on it.

I'm an Idoltard. Sorry. I've been watching since it first ever aired. This demonstrates the gauge of our social lives.
This season started out okay till they started beating this Beatles thing into the ground. I liked 'some' of the Beatles - but like, that was in the 70s. I thought it was a lousy catagory the first time around - and they're doing it again? Pulleeze.
And instruments? Oh. Scuze me. I thought it was a singing contest.
