Unless you’ve been living under a rock the past year, you must have heard that election day is Tuesday November 4th. This means nothing for any of you living outside the US; or does it?
I have heard many express that they wished the elections were over already. They are tired of all the propaganda on TV, radio, internet, telephone, carrier pigeon - all of it. I couldn’t agree more. However I don’t want that to deter you from making your way to the voting booth.
I am not here to preach to you about any particular candidate. My only goal with this post is to remind you to get out and vote. It is every American’s civic duty and privilege, why waste your voice? Take part in this historical decision that will affect your life and the lives of those in the future.
Practice patience, bring your ID or voter registration card, take another voter with you and Vote.

I have never missed an election since I have been eligible to vote, including local city elections. Thank you for the reminder. When are we meeting for a drink?
Voted early, woohoo!
Like the ceo, I've never missed an election since I turned 18. If they open the polls, I'm there. I am now nervously waiting for the results...
I mailed in my stuff weeks ago. I don't think they actually count it unless the outcome is within single digits though.
But if it does, my ship has come in!
I would only add, if you're not sure about the issues, please do some research before you vote. Take a few minutes to familiarize yourself with the candidates and their positions and make an informed choice.
I voted today--Oregon has mail in/drop off ballots. I agree, though, make sure you know why you are voting for who you are voting for. It isn't high school anymore, the issues actually do matter! :)
don't forget if you go to starbucks and tell them you voted you get a free cup of coffee. You should vote anyway, but free starbucks wow.
It means quite a bit to many people all over the world.
If you're near Ljubljana, Slovenia, tonight, I'm hosting an election watch party. You're quite welcome. :)
It's a big day. I'll be in line after work waiting to cast my ballot.
I, too, encourage all to vote. I, too, am ready for the election to be over.
A friend has been out of the country for the campaign. She asked what she missed. I told her that she missed the first all female-all black ticket for president, the removal of habeas corpus, the tromping of posse comitatus, the dissolution of the 4th amendment and a new disregard for the 1st amendment. But...everyone feels more politically involved.
Vote, yes. But, encourage others to do more than just vote. Stay informed and get involved beyond casting a vote every 4 years!
